NIA started as software for one organization running two child-care kitchens. It was built next to the people using it — cooks counting shelves, a manager reconciling rosters against a menu — and shaped by what actually went wrong in a week.

That is why it is organised around meals rather than around a generic inventory model. CACFP meal patterns, age-group minimums and monthly enrollment are not reporting add-ons here; they are what the quantities are calculated from.

We onboard every customer ourselves, including importing your existing recipes, suppliers and catalog. There is no self-service signup, because setting this up badly is worse than not having it.
